Brad Pitt is possibly leaving Los Angeles. The actor has sold his mansion in the Hollywood Hills and is planning on moving up north to the coast of Carmel, TMZ reports. The "Babylon" actor reportedly sold his property for $39 million. He purchased it in 1994 for $1.7 million from "Elvira" star Cassandra Peterson. Pitt once shared the home with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children until the couple separated in 2016. He quietly put the house on the market in January for $40 million, according to People at the beginning of the year. Sources told the magazine that the two-time Oscar winner was looking to downsize. This comes after the movie star bought a $40 million Carmel castle known as the D.L. James house last year.

NL West Preview: A changing of the guard?

Published Thu, 13 Feb 2025 17:38:58 GMT

The San Diego Padres sure don't feel like little brother anymore to the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers.Buoyed by a stunning victory against the 111-win Dodgers in the NL Division Series and owner Peter Seidler's fearless offseason spending, the Padres are poised to make a run at the NL West title as well as a World Series crown that has always been out of reach. The Padres will begin the most-anticipated season in their mostly sad-sack history with a lineup featuring Juan Soto, Xander Bogaerts and Manny Machado. On April 20, manager Bob Melvin will begin writing a fourth superstar into the lineup when Fernando Tatis Jr. is eligible to return from an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.Shockingly, the Padres will have a bigger payroll than the Dodgers, who have won nine of the last 10 NL West titles. San Diego's projected payroll of $255 million will rank third behind only the New York Mets and Yankees.Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Cla...

Thrifting is awesome. Nowadays, most of us are “woke” enough to understand that avidly supporting fast fashion is one we can do without — and, as much as possible, buying second hand clothing is the way to go. Unfortunately, when it comes to thrifting, there’s more to it than meets the eye — and it’s not always good.Find out what really goes on in the second hand apparel industry. Why Buying Second Hand Clothing Is CoolThe most well-known positive effect of buying second hand items is that it’s a sustainable solution. Duncan, who has argued against marriage equality and other LGBTQ+ rights in the past, was met with a flurry of posters, boos and heated comments from student groups both in and outside the classroom where the talk was held.In a 10-page letter to the Stanford Law School community last week, law school Dean Jenny Martinez wrote that Associate Dean Tirien Steinbach is on leave, but did not say whether that was voluntary or mandatory.
